Big blow to Thackeray: corporators, along with Bhaskar Jadhav, set to join the Shinde faction

The political crisis for the Uddhav Thackeray faction has deepened significantly as a fresh wave of defections hits the party in Parbhani. In what is being termed as 'Operation Tiger', a substantial political shift is underway in the region. Reports indicate that 18 local corporators, alongside senior leader Bhaskar Jadhav, have decided to sever ties with the Thackeray camp and align themselves with the rival Eknath Shinde faction. This strategic political development is expected to strengthen the Shinde camp's grassroots presence significantly. The leaders and corporators are scheduled to formally take up the primary membership of the ruling Shinde-led faction during a dedicated induction ceremony planned for August 30. This mass switch adds to the ongoing political realignment in Maharashtra, dealing yet another severe blow to the Thackeray faction's local organizational strength ahead of upcoming local body elections.
