CJP Protest Live: Neha Bora, Yogendra Yadav & Mamata Banerjee Detained Over SIR Row| Dr.Manish Kumar
On October 10, high-voltage protests erupted in New Delhi as activists and student leaders marched to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The agitation was led by prominent activist Yogendra Yadav and AISA leader Neha Bora near Dilli Haat and Jantar Mantar, following the earlier detention of top CJP leaders like Abhijeet Dipke upon their arrival. In the midst of heavy security deployment, Delhi Police detained both Neha Bora and Yogendra Yadav along with several supporters during the march. Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee also faced police restrictions and hurdles while attempting to join the ongoing agitation. The demonstrators strongly accused the poll panel of irregularities and vowed to continue their peaceful resistance until accountability is fixed regarding the electoral roll revision process.
AISA leader Neha Bora and activist Yogendra Yadav led a protest march in Delhi on October 10 after top CJP leaders, including Abhijeet Dipke, were detained on arrival. Supporters were urged to gather at Dilli Haat amid heavy security near Jantar Mantar. Police detained Bora, Yadav and others during the march. TMC leader Mamata Banerjee also faced restrictions while joining the agitation. The protests demand CEC Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation over SIR of electoral rolls.
