Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp political attack on Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav during a recent public address, triggering significant political discussions across the state. Addressing a gathering, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the stark contrast in governance standards before and after the year 2017. He pointed out that prior to 2017, the administration was plagued by widespread complaints and severe irregularities regarding the distribution of public welfare rations to the needy citizens. Highlighting the reforms implemented by his administration, the Chief Minister asserted that the current system ensures complete transparency and direct benefit transfer, effectively curbing corruption. This strong statement from the ruling leadership has created a major stir within the opposition camp, as political parties gear up for upcoming electoral battles in the politically crucial state of Uttar Pradesh.

CM Yogi said that before 2017, there were a large number of complaints regarding ration distribution. Citing the example of his Janta Darshan, he said that at that time, approximately 300 out of every 1,000 applications were related to ration-related discrepancies. Now, the situation has changed, and according to him, not a single complaint related to ration distribution is received during Janta Darshan. He said that this is a matter of respect for fair price sellers, as they work to disseminate government schemes to people at the grassroots level.
