Delhi Protest: YouTuber Dhruv Rathee Detained Before Protest in Delhi | Capital TV

Popular YouTuber Dhruv Rathee was detained from Gurugram by the Delhi Police ahead of a planned protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on October 10. The demonstration was organized by CJP to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged SIR electoral roll discrepancies. Authorities denied permission for the rally, resulting in a heavy security crackdown that included the detention of 150 to 200 protesters. In response to the planned agitation, security was massively scaled up across the national capital with the deployment of approximately 35,000 personnel. Authorities also implemented strict measures, including closed metro stations, train cancellations, heavy barricading, and intensive border checks. CJP leader Abhijeet Dipke arrived in Delhi amidst these high-security arrangements as law enforcement worked to maintain public order and prevent unauthorized gatherings.
