Huge uproar in Punjab against ED raid. AAP attacks Centre over ED Action | Capital TV
A massive political uproar has erupted across Punjab following consecutive days of Enforcement Directorate raids in the state. The ruling Aam Aadmi Party strongly condemned the central investigative agency's actions, accusing the central government of misusing federal institutions for political vendetta against its leaders. Party representatives expressed deep anger, stating that such coercive tactics are aimed at intimidating opposition voices and destabilizing the state administration. The ongoing searches have triggered intense protests and heightened political tensions between the regional government and the central authorities, leading to sharp exchanges and accusations from various political factions regarding the autonomy and impartiality of federal agencies in India.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been enraged by the ED raids that have been ongoing in Punjab for two days. On Thursday morning, AAP workers stormed the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) office in Mohali. AAP workers broke through police barricades and entered the GMADA campus. A scuffle ensued with the police. They attempted to enter the GMADA office and approach the ED team, but were stopped by CRPF personnel accompanying the team.
