Leaders of the opposition INDIA bloc have gathered at the Constitution Club of India in New Delhi for a crucial high-level meeting. The discussions primarily focus on the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls and the internal differences that have recently emerged within the Election Commission of India. Prominent opposition figures participating in the deliberations include Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee, Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, CPI(ML) Liberation leader Dipankar Bhattacharya, and representatives from the Samajwadi Party. The coalition is deliberating on a joint strategy to address their concerns regarding the poll panel's functioning and related administrative processes, with discussions also reportedly touching upon potential parliamentary actions.
