Mumbai Police have registered a First Information Report against the organizers of a recent protest march in South Mumbai. The demonstration was jointly led by Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and MNS president Raj Thackeray. Thousands of participants marched from Metro Cinema to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation headquarters, joined by several senior opposition leaders. According to police officials, the event lacked the required official permissions, leading to the case being filed at the Azad Maidan police station. Known as the 'Virat Garjna Morcha,' the protest was organized to demand the resignation or removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The demonstrators raised serious concerns regarding alleged irregularities within the Special Intensive Revision process, drawing massive crowds and significant political attention to the state capital.

Mumbai Police on Sunday filed an FIR against the organizers of a protest march led by Shiv Sena (Uttar Pradesh) chief Uddhav Thackeray and MNS president Raj Thackeray. According to police, the march was held without the necessary permission. Thousands of people marched from Metro Cinema in South Mumbai to near the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) headquarters. Several senior leaders from opposition parties also participated. Deputy Commissioner of Police Manish Kalwania said a case has been registered against the organizers at the Azad Maidan police station for holding the march without the necessary permission. Participants in the protest, dubbed the "Virat Garjna Morcha," demanded the removal or resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The protesters raised the issue of alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
