The Central Bureau of Investigation has officially registered a First Information Report regarding the high-profile Disha Salian case, following a crucial directive issued by the Bombay High Court. Federal investigators are currently reviewing earlier police files, witness statements, forensic reports, and electronic evidence to uncover the truth behind the tragic incident. The renewed momentum in the high-profile case comes after advocate Nilesh Ojha and the victim's father, Satish Salian, handed over a sensitive pen drive to the agency. This digital evidence reportedly contains crucial videos, photographs, and vital witness material that could change the direction of the ongoing probe. Meanwhile, local law enforcement officials have stated that since the investigation has been completely transferred to the central agency, further comments on the sensitive proceedings cannot be provided at this stage, keeping public attention fixed on the impending legal developments.

The CBI registered an FIR in the case following a Bombay High Court directive. The agency is examining prior police investigations, records, statements of relevant personnel, forensic material and electronic evidence. Recently, Nilesh Ojha and Satish Salian submitted a pen drive to the CBI, which reportedly contains videos, photographs, and witness material. Senior Police Inspector Arjun Rajane of the Ulwe police station stated that the investigation is now with the CBI and he would not comment on the matter.
